| Author Bio| Lavyrle Spencer | | LaVryle Spencer met her husband, Dan, in high school and raised one daughter with him while entertaining the thought of writing a romance novel. Her debut, "The Fulfillment", was published in 1979 while she worked as a teacher's aide at Osseo Junior High School. Most of her novels, including her historical and contemporary romances, deal with the many difficulties of love and the process of overcoming loss. Her books portray common people struggling with disappointment and betrayal, while at the same time fighting adversity with a courage and strength drawn from perseverance and family solidarity. Several of her titles have been turned into movies, including the feature film "Morning Glory" (1989), starring Christopher Reeve, which also included brief cameos by Spencer and her husband. Both have continued to remain close to their high school friends and, notwithstanding their love of travel, haven't strayed far from their home state. |
