| | Artist Overview | | Alt-folk singer-songwriter Frank Turner was born in Bahrain on December 28, 1981, and studied at Eton College and the London School of Economics before forming the hardcore punk bands Kneejerk and Million Dead. As the latter band broke up, Turner began an alt-folk solo career with the 2006 EP CAMPFIRE PUNKROCK and his full-length debut, SLEEP IS FOR THE WEEK, the following year. This was followed by a compilation of singles and EP tracks called THE FIRST THREE YEARS, and a second proper album, LOVE, IRE AND SONG. |
